Prevention Educator JRAC Match Grant
This position is for a full-time prevention educator in Our Place’s targeted
communities and schools. Specifically, this position will provide Guiding Good
Choices, an evidence-based prevention curriculum to parents involved with
the justice system. This will require working with the Floyd County Justice system
(courts, probation, corrections, and jail) to take referrals, schedule programs, track
attendance, and outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Prefer B.A. or B.S. (includes those working on degree) with emphasis in Human
Services, experience is preferred working with adults/youth in the field of substance
abuse prevention, addictions, or education.
Our Place is looking to fill the position starting in July. We are looking for a prevention educator with sufficient experience to work with various adult populations, and knowledge of how trauma impacts parenting and subsequently the next generation.
